    I was just about to put him in my 90 when I noticed stuff on him. I think it is ich. I am setting up a small quarantine for him now.

    Looks more like particles of sand to me.

    Yeah it looks like sand and detrius, it wouldn't hurt to set up a HT for it, but i wouldnt worry too much, also i would get those serpent stars out of the same bag as him.

    I made some fresh water, mixed fresh salt, put in an herbal reef med and am hoping for the best. He was laboring to breath real hard. I hope he will be ok.

    Funny...I dropped two of them in my brand new system too and they both have the same white spots....and my system is barebottom. I got nervous because I have a Borbonious Anthias arriving on Thursday and if it gets ich, I will be VERY upset.

    I wouldn't put the fish in QT unless it's really bad, just supplement it's foods with selcon or another garlic supplement and feed high quality foods.
