    Phoenix what type of lights would I need I've been discussing setting up my other 125 tank and trying reef with the wife

    T5's and Metal Halides are the way to go.

    But as previously said, with your current lighting your anemone only has short period of time before its starts to consume itself and/or start bleaching.

    Unfortunately Pheonixhieghts is right. You are going to have to upgrade your lighting or your anemone will slowly waste away.

    The last three tests are alkalinity, calcium and phospate. IMO that phosphate should be at a 0. If you can't/don't plan to upgrade your lighting immediately the responsible thing to do would be take the anemone back. It dieing from lack of light is a waste of life and may end up nuking your tank to boot. No reason you can't pick one up when everything is ready for it :)

    Also I noticed you have a Choc Chip star...watch out...them suckers dont play nice with others lost a Coral Banded Shrimp and a cleaner Shrimp before I learned my lesson...NO MORE CHOC CHIP STARS FOR ME :)

    +1 to above comments. Lighting is no where sufficient enough to support the LTA. It needs to go back ASAP. If it dies in there, it will release a toxin that could also kill everything else with it.

    750 watts of metal halide will be very sufficient for your tank. chocolate starfish are not reef safe also.

    I've not seen an lta with tentacles that curly. . . never had one though.

    ok where to start LTA was returned to store along with the tube anemone that was in my ID THIS thread the 125 gal you guys are seeing was just my honest attempt at keeping fish other the triggers and groupers thanks to 3reef I've grown up/matured i've always kept triggers and other hardy fish and my parameters were never even close to being right I always wanted tangs,angels and such but they never lived more than a month or so i've been checking this site as a guest for almost a year thought i couldn't join because I didn't have a reef finally joined anyway back in march but i've been taking in everything my 125 in the pics and you-tube video is 11 months old I have a second 125 now empty will begin reef setup in sept.(after the kids are in school) just saving and researching right now
