So tonight, the bugger went after frozen brine like there's no tomorrow. I guess that's the "secret sauce" with this guy. I'll try soaking the brine shrimp in Selcon to beef them up a bit.

It looks like the Formula Two frozen is on back order for a while. Think this would be a good replacement until they get some in?

Assuming NLS = New Life Spectrum? If so, I have them and use them with the Omega One flake.

    Thanks again for the help!

Yeah New Life Spectrum pellets. I like the Formula 2 flakes also. So do my tangs. But I feed pretty rarely these days so they will pick off the sawblade calurpa and bubble algae. One trick for feeding nori is to cut it like this: Nori Feeding Tip

That is a great feeding tip and I'll try it!

    Thank you Sky God. ;)

P.S. The spirulina brine shrimp was a hit too. Hopefully can sustain him between that, Selcon soaked regular brine, and Formula Two flake (tonight's dinner).

Mine was eating like that at first, now he's eating pretty good. We feed mega marine algae (since formula 2 isn't available), frozen mysis and frozen brine shrimp alternating. He didn't eat the nori until our sailfin showed him it was "safe." Our blue hippo didn't touch it till then either! Weird fish... We also put some garlic extreme on the food periodically if they seem stressed and that seems to help.

It takes a while for Bristletooths to become used to nori, They often graze quite frequently cause their mouths are ment to scrap algae off rock work or glass vs peck it off.

I got my chevron back years ago to eat it just be rubberbanding it around a rock. Not sure if that was mentioned.

Good to know. A hippo tang will be our last addition, si I may go through this again. :)

Nice idea. I'll have to try that.
