I just added a new crocea clam. My nassarius snails and skunk cleaner shrimp keep going after it. What do I do?

put it higher in the tank, the nassarius snails wont get to it.. shrimp might have to get rid of or throw it in the fuge for now..

Put the clam up on your rocks if it is not there already. They live on the rocks in the wild.

Check to see if there is anything dead or dying on the clam. Remove it if there is.

Consider remove the cleaner if it is trying to eat the clam.

I moved it higher up. had to intercept one snail that was trying to make the climb. I can't put anything in my little sump...too crowded and turbulent for anything.

My skunk was very interested in my maxima when first introduced in to the tank. After a day or so, he was done cleaning and moved back to his cleaning station. Nothing to worry about.

The thing about nassarius snails and shrimp is they can sense when something is dieing and because of that they tend to start to go after it. Fish do this also if they sense a fish dieing they will start attacking it. Your clam could be on the way down already.
