    Over a 55g with NEP, you bet.
    You won't have any problem at all. The individual reflectors will help out a lot. Just realize that the bulbs that come with it are bottom notch. I would use them for the time being, maybe six months, then replace them with some high end bulbs like UVL or Giessemann. Then you will be bulletproof. Your tank is going to look GREAT when you get that baby up and running. Post pics when you get it in. Good job. K+ on your choice.
