I have no connection to any manufacturer or vendor but I have been a certified water and wastewater plant operator, supervisor and manager for over 37 years so have been exposed to many many systems over the years. Not to mention the 6 or 7 I have personally owned and been able to compare side by side.

    There really is a difference.

It can be done pretty easily with a saddle valve. There is a self piercing variety that I would recommend staying away from due to clogging and reduced flow (especially if you have hard water).

You can have a 1/4" drilled one installed. More hassle, but better results.

Don't you have anywhere that you can install it to make use of the garden hose adaptor?

Finally, I endorse Spectrapure as well. Top notch system! I like them so much that I drive 1 1/2 hours to pick up replacement filters from a PO Box in Buffalo because shipping to Canada is so expensive.

no i dont have a place to put it in my house. i have 3 sinks in my house 1 in my kitchen 1 in master bath and 1 in the guest bath which is were i want to put it since my tanks are in the room next to it. and the water runs directly from my softner into my house.

most of the tell you to avoid putting in area's that get exposed to high sunlight, extreme heat and such so outside is out of the question. unless i redo the plumping in the guest bathroom, like but a switch valve on my inline to my sink so that when i need the the RO/DI water i switch it then when done switch back.
and can you tell me when its say like 40 gpd does the mean all it will produce is 40 gallons a day or is that the recomended amount or am i totally missing the point on it

just fyi i plan on buying the MaxPure MPDI RO/DI from SpectraPure Water Purification Products

Nice choice on the unit and yes 40 gpd means (when set up properly and used under the proper operating pressures) over the coarse of 24 hours it will produce 40 gpd of ro/di water and 160g of waste water.

Edit-I don't have room for mine either,I just use a faucet adapter, make what water I need, then put it back away in the closet.

so a 25GPD would be ideal for keeping a 40 gallon breeder and a 20 gallon sump. and i plan on filling storage containers and making a ato to pump the water when the level gets low in the sump from the containers.

like i said my problems i cant put it any where else cause of the space and our temp problems i live in fl and really dont wana hook this up out side i mean i could hook it up to one my outside faucets with the hose conection i might wana make sure that the system i want can do that. and once installed build like a little ply would box or somthing to go over it to protect from sun light. and idk what to do about the heat but i guess it really dosnt get over 90 in fl all that much just fells like it lol

Listen to AZdesertrat when it comes to anything water related, dude knows his stuff, and isn't a pusher for anything other than whats best for your tank.

And yes, they are smallish, do what grinder suggested.

as far as moving the water, you can get a small maxijet or hydor nano if your patient for less than $20 and then a few bucks in tubing from Lowes and you're done;)

Personally I;d rec a JBJ ATO and a $8 -10 tote from a retail store

Yes,the bigger the gpd,the less wait time regardless of tank size. But no,you don't need a huge gpd unit for a small tank.I keep about 20 gallons or better made up at all times for "just in case".

Now as far as hooking it up,if you can't use it portable and you have absolutely nowhere to mount it,then i'm not sure what to tell ya,there's gotta be a compromise there somewhere.

Yup,just unhook it and put away when not in use.I'm pretty sure you can get a faucet adapter through spectrapure, but I bought mine from Marine Depot.
