So a while back I purchased a frag of some green star polyps and when I got it home I realized there was what I believe to be on there is some type of anenome? maybe a bubble anenome? but just the other day I looked closely and I saw that 2 more have popped up on the same frag and I was wondering if I need to watch these and remove them completely or if I need to frag them off to a different rock so my polyps dont get harmed. I got two pics so hopefully someone can help me:confused:

Could be just the plain old rock anemone or majono anemone.

alright so the general answer right now is to remove them & the best way to do that would be (since they are so close to the small colony of polyps)? I got aiptasia-x & I could try that?

Majano anemone, blast the foot with boiling water in a syringe with airline tubing attached to it. So you ahve the syringe with hot water, then on the end of the syringe have airline. That keeps the syringe from needing to be submerged, which will lower the temperature of the boiling water. Just hold the airline on the foot of the majano and squirt the foot. It should release from the rock immediately. Get a net and scoop it out and toss it in the trash, don't flush it.

At the end of the day, if its an anemone and you dont want it - its a pest. Majanos are considered just that.
