Long story short my 4 year old was down stairs in our basement and went into the fish room where sump, refugium, etc is for my upstairs tank. Anyway I have a couple of small snails in my refugium and she decided she wanted to feed them. On my work table there I have a box of supplies a friend gave me who was moving and shut down his tank so he didn't need them anymore that I hadn't had a chance to go through yet. Anyway, my little girl grabbed acid buffer that was in the box (my friend had a freshwater plant tank) and dumped a bunch in to my tank.....this happened like 15 minutes ago. In that time my Ph has plummited. I only have a reef master test kit but it is showing ph of 7.4 but that is as low as it goes. (I just tested yesterday and it was at 8.2)The buffer says on the bottle it lowers ph to between 8.0-5.0 so the ph of my tank could actually be lower than 7.4. I don't have enough salt to do a substantial water change to bring it back up......I do however have Seachem reef buffer to raise ph. Should I use it or ride it out???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just did a water change this past weekend and used up almost all my salt. Fish stores are closed or would be by the time I could get there so unfortunetly that is just not an option tonight.

Turning on the lights and keeping them on overnight could help raise the Ph?

I Agree with others, adding more chemicals would likely hurt more, but if you're left with no other option....that's a tough choice to make. Since I only have fish and zoas at the moment, I'd ride it out in that situation, hoping they could take the swing.

Use ph buffer, but since it increases the toxicity of ammonia, dose with prime too.
