Ok. I am a newbie lookinf for inexpensive lighting. MY tank doesnt even have live stock yet. I DO want add SPS and LPS in the future. Please tell me a way I can buy two bulbs and add two later. Instead of dropping once on a four bulb strip. I have no clue as to all equipment needed. Also there is color temps right? If so I would like somthing like this...

have you decided if you want metal halide or T5? if you want T5 just get one fixture. if you plan to build a canopy you can buy retrofit kits for the T5 and go with two bulbs at a time until you get the desired quantity. (i say two because a T5 ballast generally supports two bulbs, however you can get ballasts that support many)
