Wow....ummm...I wasnt expecting that from this message board...It was my fault and I feel terrible that I let it happen...but didnt expect you to rail on me like that...oh nevermind... :-/

 

Lol...rickzter that wasnt very nice...everyone makes mistakes in the beginning...heck i put a regal tang in my tank when i was a newbie

Dancin_trancy Don't let it bother so much, As Bruce said everyone makes mistakes. What do you have in your QT tank that could have caused the ammonia spike? Karma from me also for your loss........... John

 

I was an idiot and put some food in there prior to going to work....the tank is very small, only 6 gallons...thats the only thing I can think of, he was hiding and didnt come out to eat it....Because I checked the water per. the night before and it was fine.....was just really bummed out lastnight, it was the first time I lost something...and knowing it was my own fault, and trying to save him and it not working really made it worse...maybe I was being too sensitive...

Sorry for the comment, I didn't mean it as a means of insulting anyone. I too have gone through similar situations. Sorry for your loss. But as everyone says, you live and learn. The little guy is swimming in Heaven's oceans now.

 

Sorry, just read the last few posts. I think it was just I was feeling really guilty already....anywho...thank you all for not getting annoyed at my whining... :-[ And as you all said, "you live, you learn," because that is never going to happen again!
