I have a nice tellight fixture with 4 bulbs. Most are ATI I use 2 10k 1 Fiji purple and 1 blue .
I wanted to know what the closest is from the fixture I can put my sps to where even the spectrum of light given from the outside bulbs still hit them. This may. It make sense..
Both my outside bulbs are 10k and I wanted to place the coral centered accord g to the fixture so that it gets hit by both 10k bulbs.
Thanks for reading hopefully someone can help me.
Any tips or suggestions are appreciated too I'm a bit new and I have a lot of LPS in my tank as well.

Teklight fixture. 60 gallons. Some acropora a pocillapora and some ORA maybe green slime and a tort. Sorry I don't really know what they are other than that much. I just want to make sure everything is hit by both 10k bulbs while still as close to them as possible. Maybe I'm just worried about trying to grow sps in my tank due to lack of light...

well acros i would start off in the center of the tank about half way up in good flow and watch them to see if they like it, pocs are very hardy and will adapt to almost any light, polyp extension is very important you may have to raise or lower them to get the right sweet spot, i draw alot of ado about acros when i say they require more light then other coral but, i've had just about every lighting system one can have and m/h has done the best job for me but, i've seen very beautiful tanks with t5 lighting i hope this helps a little

i suggest looking at the fixture with on eye (make sure light's off). and see how far your eye is from the fixture b4 the reflectors start blocking the outside bulbs. and thats the distance where your corals will get all your bulbs. doesn't really matter though cuz if your corals aren't getting the outside lights, they definitely are getting more of the inside lights being that close.

if all your thinking about is growing corals, you do realize you have a chance to bleach them? get a par meter and post up!

I suggest placing the fixture 30" above the sand bed for starters. If the corals bleach move it up.
