help please

    i have a 55 gallon tank i have about 20-25 pounds of live rock and a fluval 405 filter and i can not get a fish to last more than 1-3 weeks my recent deaths were cauused by ich should i empty the tank and restart or wait it out. my amonia,nitrate,ph, and nitrites are all ok i dont now whats going on please help me

    please post exact number's on you lvls and I would wait it out vs emptying the whole tank.

    use vitamin enriched foods. switch out the fluvel 405 for a sump and fuge. How long has this tank been setup? What fish are\were they?Did you acclimate the fish?

    i have recently got the 405 and cant afford to by another $200-250 filter. over the tanks year set up i have had 2 clownfish 1 hippo tang 1 saddleback butterfly 10 damsels the clown fish and 3 of damsels died out of the blue the 2 butterflys i had died of ich

    IME keep the filter and make sure to replace the pads in it often.

    sorry to tell ya this but the butterflys and the hippo probably didnt need to go in there and I would sugest aginst putting anymore in there untile you have the stability of the tank under control.

    so you have 7 damsels in there and one clown?

    also dont get to dishartned, things take time to go the right way. my little 20 gallonin the last year and a half has finally is starting to get where I want it and it has been set up for 3 years now

    i have no fish in there now all my clowns died

    just leave it empty for a few weeks I dont know what the live cycle is exactly but I think it is about 6 weeks.

    do you have any corals in there?

    also any crabs/shrimp?

    If you can post your parameters we may be able to help a little better. What do you have for test kits? The more params you can post the better.
