Hello, I just got a juvenile emperor angelfish yesterday and when I woke up I realized he was at the bottom of the tank on its side. Then all the sudden he got up and started swimming around the tank like normal, then go back and lay down. Is this normal or should I be worried???

Also he was been kind of swimming a bit sideways but only sometimes.

    Thanks!

I've not ever owned an emperor angelfish but this does not sound like normal behavior for a fish. Is he eating? I know it's only been in your tank a limited time.

He has been eating, I think it might be because he is scared, when i come near he goes to that spot and lays down but idk... He looks like he is ok now, still sometimes goes and lays down but less now, he is swimming around alot. But when he swims slowly he kind of tilts to the side abit.

Maybe it is still a little stressed from the move and acclimating to its new home. If it's eating, just keep an eye on it and hopefully it will act more normally over time.
