Hello, my carnation I was trying to keep started to kick the bucket and shed a bunch of little pieces off that sank to the sand. My golden head sleeper regularly cleans the sand and recently it hasn't been coming out during feeding like it usual does. I'm thinking maybe it ate a piece of the carnation and died? Any ideas, thanks

What are your water parameters? The dead carnation could have elevated the ammonia and nitrites to unhealthy levels.

Could also be that your goby is on vacation, I hope!

Yeah thats what I'm hopeing, water params are fine, everything else is doing fine, thats why I think it was the carnation pieces in the sand that might've done something.

They pretty much know what not to eat. put some brine shrimp in there and see if he comes out of hiding.
