Help plz i got question

how long do i leve my lites on. i have 250w mhs, 2 t5's, 2 actenics in a 55 gallon tank 48 inches long.

 

I keep my lights as follows;

MH.....10 hrs
Act.....12 hrs
Lunar........inbetween the MH

I keep mine on for about 12 hours. but you could go as low as 8

 

no wonderm y ****s dieing it isnt getting enough lites my tank isnt fully mature but my test kits are all perf so it must be that pff

 

I figure the equater gets 12 hours of light all year long, so many corals would want that actinic lighting for that length of time.

I thought most people left mh on for only 6 hours or so? I have T5 but was curious. I guess it would also depend on type of corals...and size of mh.

 

correct me if i'm wrong but i think your "crap's" dying from too much light, how many 250 watt MH's do you have? that's an enormous amount of light for that size tank IMO.
