i got a new nova extreme fixture a week ago, today the 10k lights only went out and the 460nm stayed on (4x 54 watt setup) every time i turned the 10k on they just blinked and never turned on. i switched the bulbs and the bulbs were not burnt out. then when i put them back in they worked again. could this be a problem with the ballast, or falty wiring?
do the 2 sets of lights run on 2 dif ballasts. really sucks because i just bought a new green and white tip torch last night

I had a similar problem with mine. Turn them off for a few mins to give the ballast time to cool off. Dont turn your blues on first, turn the 10Ks on, they should work then. For mine, its the bottom switch. I called and complained and they sent out new ballasts. I ordered mine from Fosters and Smith back when they had the "Dodge" coupon. Other then the ballast having heat issues, its a great light.

thanks. they seem fine, my g/f i think forgot too turn the fan on with the 10k. and were having a heat wave here in buffalo. its like almost 90. i think just what you said, it got too hot and had too cool down. im very pleased with this light also, i just freaked a lil. gets the light down double the depth of what my pc lights did.

Place a fan directly in front of the ballast and that will keep it cool.
