Hey guys. Ive got a fairly new 55 g setup that is a little over 3 months old. Tank is doing fine, but I made the sandbed a little deeper than i would have liked. Depth varies throughout the tank due to the powerheads shuffling it around when i was trying to eliminate dead spots. Shallowest part is about 1 inch, Deepest parts are around 2 and half inches. I want to level it out and remove the top layer in the deeper areas. Am i going to run into any problems doing this? Planning on siphoning a little out here and there over a 2-3 week period. Livestock is a CUC, oc. clown, and a yellow tang. Thank in advance for any advice.

a tank of only 3 months old is not going to have a sand bed full of nasties that if released could cause nutrient spikes (the thing that most of us are cautious about when moving a sand bed)

I think your plan of little and often is a good one, and should not cause your tank any issues
