HELP! Ricordia

My ricordia is a shrunken up and has stuff coming out of it. Anyone know what it could be?

I would cut one and use it to make a deal with Luna for the scallops but i'm afraid to cut it

 

take a razor and cut a small section off. in like 3 days its have a mouth and be a whole new shroom
