    Remember only bad things happen fast. 82 is a good temp, don't rush too much. Too many water changes and going down too fast can be more stressful than the spike. Get some water on hand, and maybe do small 10-15% daily water changes for a few days if necessary. I would try to keep the temp at 82, that is a normal reef temperature. If you want to go lower, do so slowly.

    Update....looks like i had about a 50% loss of corals. Some of my LPS survived as did the LTA and all the fish. I lost about 5 frags of various corals and my pulsing xenia. The starfish survived also. My ammonia is still up at 0.5 after about 25 gal of water changes. Still working but things are at least manageable now. Thank you everyone for the advice and support. We will rebuild.. we have the technology....

    Hey sorry about the tank I wouldn't be very pleased either, but on a more brighter note I have to say that line made me burst out :LolLolLol, great mood lifter.

    +2 remember, it could be twice as bad. The hobby is one big lesson in humility anyways, it's part of the fun :lol:
