So i have recently returned from a military school and my GF was caring for my tank whil ei was away and did a great job following my instructions, but while i was gone I had a huge diatom and bryopsis outbreak. The nem that i need advice on saving is a pink tip condy his name is (andy) lol but before i left he was bleaching a little but starting to look better but now three weeks later he is shrinking and looking a almost clear instead of a brownish white. I feed him about once a week and he gets peeled shrimp I just recently replaced all of my lights I have a aquatic life 4bulb T5HO light with 2 blue plus, 1 aqua blue special and 1 purple plus about 12 hrs of total light from dusk to dawn on my 75gal DT. Everything else in my tank looks amazing zoas, black sun coral, devils hand, hammer coral (just split :).

I will post a pic after work but where i need help is maybe his food isnt giving enough nutrients? really need help nursing him back to 110% :)

We need some stats: nitrates, ph, salinity, temperature.

Also, the nem my be reacting negatively to the new lights. I would turn off half of your lights, cut back on the hours they are on by two or three, and then slowly bring the bulbs back up to full strength over the next two weeks.

    +1

He may need light acclimation. Do you have an automatic top off? Nems are sensitive to salinity fluctuations as well.

I changed one bulb over a week period so it took a month to completely change my bulbs but ill try turning them off. Also water parameters

Ph: 8.3 it was 7.8 when i got home a week ago
    nitrates: 20ppm
    S.G. 1.0255 almost 1.026
    temp: 75.9-76.5F
Phospates: 1.0ppm (this is a little high)
69x turnover rate in my tank with 2 1400gph PH and 2 750gph PH

The nem has been in my tank for about 10 months now. Also no ATO since im in a apt i add about a 1/2 to full gallon of water a day its RO/DI water.

Thank you for the help and advice

Well, it sounds like you acclimated your tank to the new lights correctly so that is probably not the issue.
I would work on getting those nitrates and phosphates down with some water changes, filter maintenance, fresh carbon and blow off the rocks.
Salinity is good. The temp might be something to look at. Maybe raise it up to 78 and see if there is a positive response.
