I was doing a WC and turned off my sump pump. The water drained back into the sump and the water level raised and about <2" of skim overflowed back into the sump. I didnt notice it until I was turning the sump pump back on. I emptied the collection cup and started wet skimming the sump water. Should I skim the sump water tonight and start the pump back up tomorrow? I have a small powerhead in the sump pointed at the cheato alge and the skimmer pump so there will be some flow in the sump without the pump on. Any suggestions?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd turn everything back on as usual and forget about it.

Empty the skimmer cup and start up the skimmer, no problem
