Help T5 8 Bulb Config and Limitations

    Anyways. I finally received my new ballast from Aqua Medic and ordered the handing system and replacement sockets (just in case).

    Should I go with 2 purples bulbs or just do one?

    If you have 8 bulbs 2 purples would be fine. If 6 bulbs your tank may look a little purple with 2 purple bulbs.

    Ok I spoke to Jon at BRS yesterday and he recommended to try one purple first. So I ordered 1 ATI purple and 1 ATI actinic to replace my oldest bulbs. When my items come in I'll replace the bad ballast at the same time, so I can have my fixture back at 8 vs 6.

    At the same time I'll install the new actinics and the daytime bulbs.
