Help! Tank brace is breaking!

    Not sure about online tanks due to shipping... but I had a brace brake on me. Is your floor level? I called the manufacturer and they sent me another brace for free. It's a job to replace the old one. But it is doable.

    Wow. That is not giving you much time. Start draining the tank.

    that's a good idea but i have no idea who the manufacturer is....maybe topfin....i bough this piece o crap from an old guy off of craigslist.....i was so excited that i got it so cheap i didnt check the brace :(

    Like Matt said, drain the water out ASAP before you dump a load of water on your floor. Even draining it by 1/3 will lessen the stress on the tank walls considerably.

    if you have to wrap duct tape around the top edge till its drained, go around alot it will hold.

    Yay!

    Im glad the brace is cracked! My hubby is buying me a 75 gal for my b-day! Yay! I did drain almost all of the h2o out i left a lil in there so my pellia would be ok.
