2 days ago before I was about to go to bed. I put some iodide and calcium in the tank. Went to to bed and all was fine. Woke up the next morning to a quick look at the tank and everything looked fine with what I can see with the lights off. I came home from work at about 4 and everything in the tank was all closed up. The bubble coral was deflated, the mushrooms were pretty much shrivled up to nothing, the xenias and almost flat with the rock, the torch was all closed up. The only this that wasent was the condy (the cheapist one).

I insanlty checked all the parameters...
    ph 8.2
    am 0
    ni 0
    na 0
    copper 0
    salinty was 1.028

The salinty was high, but I didnt think that would do this, but who knows. So the next thing I thought was there is something wrong with the water. I was wondering if the calcuim sky rocketed, but dont see how. So I changed 35% of the water to hopefully get out what ever is in there. After I did that and got the salinty down to 1.024 the green bubble , condy, duncan and some poloyps started to come back. Today 2 days later they are the only ones still that are half way back to normal, but by no means are thriving.

There are no fish in the tank. We took them out about 3 weeks ago b/c of a ick out break.

    75g 6-8months old, leds
    30g sump
    duncan
    green bubble
    bubble coral
    polyps
    toadstool
    torch coral
    xenia
    mushrooms
    sea cucumber
    hammer coral
    star polyps
    suncoral
    calcuim 520 after water change.
What in the heck went wrong? Like I said all I did was dose with calcuim and iodide. We did take a white tip annome from my daughters tank and put it in ours since it was not doing well that night also.

    Thanks

your salinity is pretty high right now. try to keep it between 1.024-1.026, if you dropped it from 1.028 to 1.024 in one WC then you probably did more damage then you prevented, you need to lower you salinity slowly for coral. if they are starting to open I dont think you need to worry too much just yet. but keep us posted.

I dont see anything in those pictures that has me overly concerned to be honest. I think you'll be ok, just watch the torch and anemone very close

THey look worse in real life I think. The sunburst is loosing a piece of one of it polyps and the bubble has looked like that for 2 days. The xenia are aimost flat. The condy and the Green bubble look like they have there mouth wide open.

well watch them. my xenia went like that for a month solid for no reason one day, my params were perfect. then it came back and now I cant get rid of it fast enough. lol. wait it out another day or 2 if your zoos still seem to be stubborn give them a dip in revive, but the nems, just watch those lol they could cause some real problems
