this is a fowlr tank temp is 78, salinity is 1.023,ammonia 0,trites .25ppm,dont have a trates kit.ph 8.2. i think this may be an anemone thing because we had a huge LTA disappear afew weeks ago . i think it would have happend awhile ago being it was so long ago it disapeared... im prepareing to do a 25 gallon water change. the fish that died went in this order :

    coral beauty
    harliquin tusk fish
    purple psuedo
    yellow tang
    algae blenny
    3 stripe damsel

this is a 90 gallon tank all fish minus the damsel and blenny were small.these wer not new editions, the harliquin was the newest i think about a month and a half ago...we had a bout with ick 2 weeks or so ago, treated with kick ick a copper free medication. we have used it in the past with great success. whats going on here this is terrible

the tank is about 2 years old, the nem went in 6 months ago and did great untill its disappearance.

How long were the fish dead in the tank for? I'm looking at the nitrite spike. It's high and may have been an indicator of how much ammonia was in the tank initially. It does sound like your LBTA may have been the issue.

I'm sorry for you man and hope you can recover.

Are you running carbon? If the nem did die, it most likely released a lot of harmful toxins into the tank. This may have been the cause of your problems. The carbon will help to remove some of those toxins.

I agree. Word to the wise for those with anemones....if it disappears and no trace for 3-5 days, I would dismantle the rock work and get it out.

Going beyond that, if your anemone loses a significan't amount of mass, be prepared to yank that sucker out fast, don't let it disappear before you look for it. Usually by then, it disappeared because it has let go of the rock and has been blown under rocks.

yes i am running carbon, i changed it just now, we took all the rocks out an its vanished with out a trace, the fish we all taken out asap. 2 died over night so idk how long they were dead. we have 2 crabs of unknown species in the tank that annihilate dead stuff so they get eaten fast.... the blenny couldnt of been dead more then 10 min and he was 3/4 gone.i saw him walked away and came back afew min later and half gone . i just did a 50% water change changed carbon and added an air stone.

Another thing to ask, what temperature is your tank running at?
What was your ich treatment? There are some treatments that are labeled as copper free but are still copper-based, which can kill off a tank in a hurry. To remove copper traces, you will need to run a polyfilter, Cuprasorb or run an ozonizer (which is not recommended unless you know how to properly use it).
