help to choose water return pump.

    im having a 90gal reef mixed tanks soon, thinking to get a water return pump,some of my friend tell me "Coralife Pump Turbo-Sea 1270" good, is anyone can giving me any more suggestion. i need something that whitin $250, could be lasting long, QUIET is very important too, thanks for any suggestion i might take..

    I'm assuming you mean a return from a sump. ?? MagDrive is a very reliable pump and you should have no problems finding one rated for your needs well for less than $150.

    You want to match it to your overflow gph. That's pretty much a basic guideline because there are so many factors that effect it. Pipe diameter, # of valves, # of elbows, height.
