    Hi All
i have the hawkfish for about 2 weeks, he was fine eating frozen and dry , and for the past 48 hours he doesnt touch the food, although he looks a bit less active and overbreathing , he stillhas his bright red and black colors and still moves quite well....worried...anyone has experience with this fish that should be quite hardy

Flame hawks are pretty much bulletproof ,but any fish can get sick..
A lot of things could be going on..He could be filling up on pods at night and simply isn't hungry ,,but then again almost any fish will eat if fed..What are the tankmates ?

Check for ammonia and nitrite.Over breathing can be caused by alot of things. low oxygen levels,Ich, Chemical burns on the gills, etc.
If other fish seem unaffected it may be Ich.
