I posted my story in some other thread about using Aiptasia-X and I would just strongly suggest against this route. I imagine Joe's Juice is pretty much identical, so I would say no to that also.

The aiptasia do disappear for a few days and most do die, but in a week you're going to be right back where you started or even worse off. When I used it my problem more than doubled within two weeks of constant (and proper) use.

I'd say try the shrimp, or even if you're wealthy try the nudibranch snail deals. I did have a shrimp in my tank that never touched the aiptasia. My only solution was to take the rock out and bleach it.

    Good luck~

it might be a little late to bring back this thread but if anyone else has an outbreak of aiptasia i just recently purchased Red Sea's Aiptasia-X and it works great. Can even treat aiptasia w/ corals and other delicate fish in the tank. I did a treatment last sunday and it completely made the aiptasia implode. They have not returned and have not released any spawn durinf the process. It's a matter of turning of the pumps for about 15 minutes and then covering the whole disc of th aiptasia and let it sit for 15 min. while it works. It completely kills the aiptasia. I've tried peppermint shrimp before but were eventually picked off by other fish, copperbands work well for some, i've tried lemon juice and another aiptasia medication and i still find aiptasia coming back. I would highly recommedn Aiptasia-X by Red sea. If you want 2 see proof then check out youtube and watch the video by the Red Sea company. It works great & wont try anything else since this works so well.

We've had success with Joe's Juice, but then I ended up with some aiptasia in hard to reach places. I added three peppermint shrimp a few weeks ago and have yet to fine anymore aiptasia. The day I added them, there was an aiptasia growing under a rock that I couldn't reach - the next morning, it was gone.

I added the peppermint shrimp after having a skunk cleaner for a few months - they don't pay any attention to each other. The peppermints usually stay pretty much hidden in the rocks during the day (except at feeding time), but as soon as the lights go out, they're all over the place!

For some reason you can't get Joe's Juice in CA. I had one stalk of aipstasia once and used boiling RO/DI water with 2cc of vinegar. Got rid of him in a hurry. He shriveled up and deatched from the rock and got scooped up with a net. I let it dry out on a paper towel and out he went in the trash.
