Hello everyone! I am moving my tank to another location and need some help with my BTA. It has been stuck to the back glass of my tank for the past 8 months and I need to remove it without hurting it. Are there any tricks to getting it to release from the glass so that I can bag it and move it to the new location without tearing or hurting the foot or stressing it out? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

sounds weird but tickle it's foot, or point a powerhead at it to get it to move and try to coerce it off the glass when it's moving

Once it starts moving you should be able to remove it from the glass w/o injury, but Iraf is correct, pointing a powerhead at its foot should help it start to move.

Thank you for your quick replies. I am moving the tank tonight and I will try to use a powerhead to get the anemone to release. Hopefully this guy cooperates with me and makes things run smoothly.

shouldn't be to bad, more stressful on you than it probably

LFS' here only keep anenome's to be sold in tanks with no LR so it's easier to remove them

They come off glass alot easier and safer than LR

Thanks for your info Iraf. I have about 75# of lr in my 46 gal. and luckily the anemone chooses to stick to the glass. This move is going to be a pita and I just cant wait for it to be over. Thanks again.
