    If the light that you have are attacked to the hood i would just buy a 250 watt halide fixture over it and chage all the old power compact lights to blues and go with a 10000k halide. jmo

    Your tank is too small for a 20inch carpet. I would say 175 or 250 W MH for a Carpet 18inches from the light

    There are some really cool dwarf carpets on the market know. Same light requirements but not the same tank size needs

    the watts per gallon is like 3 or 4 watts per gallon so if ur lookin at a 29 gallon to a 55 gall ur gettin only the barely amount of light for a 55, i have the same exact light as u have and i only have a 29 nano
