trying to get a good looking police car in aquarium decoration. not the old Chinese made crap from walmart but a detailed looking piece, or a base rock shaped piece that will naturally grow corals.

    any thoughts?

mueh, iv always been iffy about adding metal "relics" to my dt, salt is extreamly aggresive.

in terms of a base rock for coral the best adive i can give you is to epox of silicone your rock work together. this is one things that if i could go back i would do.

iv started empoxing the joints of rocks together but this is more of patch and hold intervention that something done correctly.

there is nothing more furstrating than waking up in the morning and seeing that acro colony youve been so proudly observing grow tumbled on the floor with tips broken cus sume drunk snail toppled the rock work. (ARGH!!!)

with this being said its hard to get your hands on that "perfect rock" luckily with abit of skill and practice you can epoxy your new plugs in a solid manner, or so i have learnt to do with time.

From what I've seen on tv, you don't want to just throw a painted car in your tank. I forget which show it was but they built a tank for a NASCAR driver and they put a replica of his car in there. They had to take the entire model car apart and spray it with some sort of clear coat to protect the integrity of the tank.

I have heard that Krylon Fusion works. I thought about doing the same with a Big Daddy from Bio-shock. In the end I figured it would get covered in corraline and wouldn't be worth the risk.
