i havent been on in awhile. I used to hate metal halide. I have seen buddies burn up their tanks and corals with them, even their clams. Well I got rid of my large tank and started a new project. currently:

    Biocube 29 topless
Ehiem classic 95 gal canister for just mechanical filtration and water vol
ehiem classic 60 gal canister with mech and chemipure
had them on my 55 gal and said what the hell have them use them....
    two koralia nanos
hob aquafuge med. with lots of rubble and chateo with 36w 10k from old hood
three moon lights from hood attached to mh fixture

my question is the lighting. currently running a 150w 20k coralife with two actinic plus uv t5ho 24"

I had a 10k but was just two white and love the color of the coralife 20k but how good is it? My colors are coming in fast and growth is good, but I have seen any info on these bulbs. Should I get a diff bulb? I just bought it and dont mind replacing it. And the t5s any recommendations? I have only 4 zoa frags and some lps, mainly sps frags is what I am going to grow. no more zoas or softies and only blastos and acans for lps, all SPS!!!!!

    ill post pics tomorrow.

right i agree and think that I will keep the 20k. i like the blue and my sps are coloring good and stuff is growing, i just set up a kaulk drip too. i love the tank.

It is time to replace the t5s though, they are a year old. I was thinking bout running a day light bulb and a actinic, maybe one of the those fiji purples but are they worth the price?
