Help with Coral being attacked by?????

    Hi everyone,

    everything has been going great in our redsea max 250. But this coral in the picture started looking a bit sick a couple of days ago so i just took it out to investigate and it has a whole in it? you can see it clearly in the picture. We have had this coral for about 6 months and he has been really healthy.

    NO3 - 5
    NO2 - 0
    PO3 - .5
    Temp constant 26.6 - chiller attached
    PH 8.3
    SAL 1.024
    KH 12

    Fish - 2 clowns, angle, manderine, little puffer, gobbies and anenome

    any one help?

    The hole looks like its mouth to me. Are you feeding the coral?

    what type of coral is it, if its a mushroom of some type, it may be starting to split in to 2.

    I would say you have a prob. Do you have any kind of cleaner crew? Is your anemone moving around? You need something to keep the worms at a natural level and clean out your inverts and another thing to keep in mind is that anemones can sting much stronger than coral and will damage them if they move or float onto them.     I'm not too sure about what that hole is. But the coral seems to be healthy, I'd just keep a close eye on it.
