I have been cycling my tank for 2 weeks now and i have allreeady thought about what fish i want to put in there in a couple weeks but i havent put much thought into what corals to get.

I have a 55g DT with 2600gph of flow with 4x54 watt t5 ho bulbs. 76lbs live rock and 60+lbs of LS

Any sugestions on what i should keep in the future so i can start doing some research, that would be great. I really love that branching type corals the SPS but am also fond of the LPS. Im a newb when it comes to corals.

SPS are a little more demanding in there care and water quality concerns. Some are easy and are nearly impossible to kill....many montis are this way. You have enough light to grow SPS(depending on the light you have, reflectors....) they are going to want MUCH more water movement to be happy than say LPS. Many LPS are damaged by too much flow... If you don't believe me I will show you pics of my candy canes and frogspawn!!

You can have both in the same tank just be careful of how you place the current sensitive corals. As the tank grow the SPS tend to subdue the flow anyhow with their branches.

    What appeals to you?

    Happy choosing!

Just make sure you give your tank ample time. My first coral was a Toadstool leather. Easy to maintain and cool to look at..

2nd coral was a Pink Pearl Bubble. I am very happy with my selection thus far. I am a beginner so this was a good starter coral..

2 Week old tank and your thinking sps? I would be thinking in a few weeks I can add my first fish in a few months I would think I can add a coral in a year or so I would think im ready for sps. I dont mean to sound rude but this is a hobby that taking it slow gives better results. I did not touch a single coral until after a year of my tank running sounds like along time but there was so much to understand and just when you got it something else went wrong. I would think of easy corals like mushrooms and whatnot long before sps especially after 2 weeks of a new tank.....

that tank looks awesome. those look like 2 good first choices. what are some of the things you have to do/suplement/light/flow to keep them happy?

I have just the stock lighting on my Nano. I let the water feed teh toadstool. It goes in at night to clean itself and the bubble I haven't done yet but will feed some raw shrimp.. So far they have been really healthy and happy.. I goto a really great LFS so they have really healthy stuff.. Make sure your tank is solid and your livestock will thank you for it.

Good luck. I asked a ton of questions. Seems like you are off to a good start... Its hard not to rush into things.. But doing the research ahead of time is smart. Can't wait to see what you get..
