help with Coralife Super Skimmer Model 65

i just baught a used Coralife Super Skimmer Model 65 neddle wheel but cant seem to get it to ork right it either over flows or i just get a tank full of bubbles any one have this problem before

 

I use this skimmer--Are you using it in the sump or hang on the back?

 

I also have recently purchased this skimmer and have it HOB. I am also trying to get this thing set up properly. Right now it is skimming ok I think, but it produces a lot of bubbles in the tank. I have read that you can change that white filter at the bottom of the return with some of the blue filter floss to cut down the bubbles.

If I find any other info or figure this out I will let you know.

when it is getting bubbles in the tank icant see the back of the tank there are so many but if i turn down the out put it floods out the cut

 

I had the same problem--I just attached a small 4" filter sock instead of the bubble box. That thing is junk. Cured the problem. This skimmer kicks butt. The red knob is very touchy. Set your bubble level at the bottom of your cone.

 

I may give that a try. It would ne nice to get that box out of there.

Use the red knob to adjust the "Fizz" level

 

Be sure to monitor the collection cup after adjusting the red knob. If you move it too much the cup can runeth over pretty fast(I know this from experience).

 

if i touch the red knod it over flows it has to be all the way on evan then cup is full in about a half hour
