I still don't test for Strontium because I've never even seen a test kit for it.

I admit I only test about once every two months because it's such a PITA and my tank always seems so healthy. Crazy pods, happy fish, corals that go through fission, snails laying eggs on the glass. I do bi-monthly WC's and run a skimmer and fuge with good water flow.

I also do not think I have anything to test for Iodine. :/ I have an expensive Hagan test kit but it does stuff like Ca/Mg Alk Ph Ammonia Nitrate Nitrite Iron. Maybe one or two more

bucksfan1976: coylee is right though, if you do decide to use Purple Up, please watch your Calcium levels so they do not go too high, I have had had that happen to me in the past, nothing bad happened but it was something I had to work on lowering which could have been from dosing things without testing :/

Not sure where you are getting your information from but I have a bottle of Kent's Purple Up right in front of me and no where on the bottle does it even have the word Iodine or Iodide

Very true, time and good water quality with proper mg/ca/alk levels is all you need.

Going to be the devil's advocate, if you don't mind.

My water params are.... adequate. I have 13 FO tanks, which does lead to some neglect. But I have high nitrates, my pH is about 7.8-8.0, SG about 1.020. I haven't added any buffers since I moved over a year ago, and some tanks really really could do with a nice water change.

Notice the purple in the background. I guess I don't have too many FTS.

Lemme see if I can find the test kits, just for fun. Don't wish for too much coralline. After awhile it engulfs your whole biofiltration as they become plated rocks.
