...then give it a bit of time to take effect. It shouldn't stand too much of a chance between the cheato and GFO.

Maybe you should list your parameters, something has to be outta whack.

My fuge is loaded with cyno! Consensus is, better there then in the DT :) i think my issue is to many watts and low flow. 24w on a 3.3g fuge-tad bit much lol. Never had this issue with an 18w lamp. Just some ideas for ya.

I had the same problem in the Fuge, cyno with the cheato looked awful and smelled worse, cleaned all of it out. I am going to add a 750gph wavermaker as well as made an elbow to trap air and move the surface water. I limit food intake to 6 days a week. Light is also on for a total of 10 hours but two fixtures are not on all the same time. Dunno doing a water change today and removing the cyno mechanically with a pump. Hopefully the GFO kicks in.

Also, may be related, the cyno only grows on two new rocks that have been submerged for 2 months, they were rocks put together with fiber glass and drilled for frags, is there any science to a rock that isnt "cured" long enough to be more suseptible to cyno. Also lighting now is one 6 bulb T5 with half actinic half 10 K, and homemade led with 56 3 watt rapids, blues, royals, cool, and neutral white.
