    get it off of the plastic. That could be what is killing your elegance. It may just be touching the skeleton but it will still stress the coral. I also agree with tangster in the fact that you should never touch the flesh ANYWHERE!

    I agree that the flesh should never touch anything including LR. I have mine in the pvc so it stands or else it would be on its side.

    I just bury my elegance in the sand and let him be. When I feed him once every month or so I do with with a set of stainless steel forceps so my hand doesn't touch it. PVC is nice at the LFS but I wouldn't keep it in one at home.

    I only have about 1/4 - 1/2 inch of sand thats why he is in pvc. He seems to be looking better today.
