I have a 75 gallon reef tank, with mesh top, 1 year old with the current residents being, (1) 1 spot foxface, 2 false percs, 1 firefish. that's it lol

here are the fish I am getting 1 mandarin, and one scissortail/purple fire fish.

here's the question what else would work in the tank, add color, look good, be efficient at something, not compete for copepods or pick on the mandarin, cant be deadly to crabs snails, and not need to eat more than once a day/?

schooling fish are welcome but cant be more than 3 and not get bigger than 3 inches.

gobys are welcome but understands my SB will not support a dimond goby without feeding more than twice a day. Had to rehome him real soon after I got him.

    some of my thoughts:
    starry blenny
    one spot blenny
some sort of wrasse but it cant be to aggressive (I have had a solar and fairy that I loved)

TYIA to all and K+ to all that help

Starry Blenny would be fine, as would any Blenny from the Ecsenius family. But I would only do one or the other. Either can become aggressive as they mature (well larger ones from the Ecsenius family like the Midas Blenny).

Wrasses (Fairy/Flasher/Possum) will consume pods and so compete with the Mandarin. So not sure how that would work out. Cardinals would work. They aren't big swimmers and only need to be fed once a day (if that). You could do 3-5 Yellowstriped as an idea.

Otherwise, I would look into Jawfish, Assessors, Basslets, or Grammas.

Royal gramma would add great color. I also love Bangai cardinal fish. A school of 3 would be mice. I think a fairy wrasse (if well fed) would work fine with your mandarin

Wrass sounds like it might be a good choice Definitely going to put as a second choice, cardinals won't work wife despises them to her they are pirannah lol

Starry won't mess with the manderin right, said something about being aggressive to similar body shape.

My Starry Blenny is my favorite fish in the tank. He changes colors multiple time a day. I also like that he perches on the rocks instead of always swimming around like my other fish. He will help with algae control also. They are fun to watch. On a bad note, they can cause little sand storms with the finer sand.

Anthias would be nice, but tend to be "delicate"
Cardinalfsh would be great, along with fang blennies

Just a quick opinion from anyone/everyone, the tank as it sits has 2 clowns false perc., one firefish, ome lawnmower, one mandarin, one one spot foxface.

is this where I need to stop and call it full?

If your filtration is sufficiently sized, you may be ok to add one or two smaller fish. The Foxface is questionable though. Although they are not big swimmers, they do get quite large and are very messy (both going in and going out)! For that reason you may actually be at your limit already.
