OK so my wife and I have been searching the web and a LFS trying to figure out what the heck we are going to stock in out 180 when we get it up and running. I need some suggestions from you guys since youre all experinced.

    Heres a little info:

1.No coral plans yet but who the heck knows in the future

2.would like a decently stocked tank

    3.will have live rock

4.75 gal sump, protien skimmer all that jazz

5.we do want more than just typical clown fish and blue tang set up although we are not opposed to having them.

6.would like to have a spectrum of colors.

7.I want the fish to get along but I want the tank stocked close to capicity (when they are full grown) and I would like atleast some of the fish to have some size not just all small fish but I would like to have 1or 2 schools of fish not just all single specimins.

    Thanks

180g is def a nice size tank, I'm excited for you, I wish I could go that large. I'll give you some of my opinions on what I think would be nice in a tank that size:

    - a school of Blue Reef Chromis (pretty fish, peaceful, cheaper)
    - get a Tang or 2, Powder Blue, Achilles, my favs (can be fragile initially)
    - Harlequin Tusk (Australian variant) my fav fish may eat snails/crabs
    - Jawfish & Flame Hawks are the funniest fish to watch (need a tight top)
    - Banggai Cardinals, love them, peaceful, beautiful, elegant fish
    - a Dwarf Angel like a Flame Angel or Potter's Angel both nice
    - Heniochus Butterflys are pretty if you don't have any corals
    - Yellowtail Coris Wrasse another fave of mine, gets biiiig
    - Dragon Wrasse - also cool, gets biiiig too

Those are just some off the top of my head. Just remember to go slow and research things and compatibility. If you get more than one Tang it's best to add them together so there are no territory issues.

You can find all these fish with info on them here: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=15

Let us know what you decide on.

I dunno why but I'm kinda leaning toward a semi aggro tank with some triggers and maybe an eel or lionfish. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else could kept with them?
