Help with hermits

Got 3 hermits and put them in system very slowly. Is it normal for them to lie on the substrate together during the day. Are they more active when the lights go out ? Hope the little fellas are o.k !!

 

Give them time...just getting used to new environment. (hopefully you acclimated them well...)

 

They were active for a few hours when I first introduced them

 

What kind of hermits are they?

 

red leg blue leg I think

 

Are they picking at anything while they are sitting there? If they were scarlets then I probably wouldn't worry. But red leg and blue leg hermits are both usually pretty active even during the day.

Best test would be to drop a little bit of food near them. If they go for it, all is well. If not, then they probably aren't happy.

my scarlets are mostly active at night, but still wander sometimes during the day if there is food

 

Good news I think they were just chillin, up and running again. Dont you panick when you first set up a tank.
