Help with Hippo

Well yesterday the tang spent pretty much the whole day out and about, though it still wasnt quite as mobile as usual. Still eating, and now its at least attempting to move its stump of a fine. I'm hoping the best, but still have a hospital tank ready if need be. Any idea on what type of medication to start with if it does become infected?

 

OK so as of yesterday the hippo's fin has become infected. I just want to go over some stuff and see what everyone thinks, since thankfully I still haven't needed to ever use my hospital tank. Tank is 10 gallon, I was thinking just the tank, heater, and a piece of PVC for shelter, filled with water from the DT? Does anyone recommend a particular medication for the infected fin?
