Help with I.D.

    Hey all,
    How do i get a photo on here so i can get help with this coral that was given to me. Since i am new to this hobby i have no idea what kind of coral it is. I know its a hard coral because i think it is bleaching from the base up, and i cant fiqure out why. I dont want to loose it so if some one can help

    sounds like sps of some type,but definately would need a pic for anyone to help with an id.

    Go farther down on your posting screen to manage attachments and click,you can upload pics there.

    i have the pic i just kcant figure out how to get it on here. Ive brought it over from my file 2x and i cant find it here anywere

    save the pic to your computer,then go into manage attachments and click browse (under load pics from computer)if you've tried that,the image may be to big,if thats the case,try photobucket to upload and then you can load from the url.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Until the picture maybe we can narrow it down.

    It is a branching coral, like a staghorn, or a flat coral. And what color is the coral.

    Also need tank parameters ie. Ca, Mg, Alk, pH, SG, Ammonia, Nitrates, Temperature. Whatever ones you can get will be helpful. Type of lighting and age of tank.

    Im going to get all this info. Do you suggest me keeping like a log on a weekly bases of this info?? It would be easier right.

    Im sorry yes it is a branching coral and when the polyps are really extended it almost looks fuzzy? Any way its a carmel color.

    That would be great.

    With a new tank it really helps to see the trends, a log can provide so much insight into what your specific system does and needs.

    Your corals sounds like a sps ( small polyp stoney coral ) and they can be tricky.
