Ive got a LR from the LFS, its quite small but fortunately had some zoanthids growing. Can anyone id these guys with a certain name? or type of zoo?
other info on their living conditions would be appreciated.

The other thing is these tiny white critter which appear as white specs on the glass not really sure what they are or if this is something to worry about. plz let me know. i clean the glass daily and they re-appear the next morning.they dont seem to be harming anything but they are everywhere and are possibly spreading. I first noticed them yesterday.

its almost impossible to get a pic to show but ReefSparky has a good pic from a thread a while back. Hope he dosent mind me borrowing his pic.

They are pods, good sign your tank is healthy. You will be able to get an mandrian before too long if you like them.

i just stumbled across another one of reefsparky's loupe pics and he seems to be convinced that the first pic is a HYDROID? and the second is an actual pod.

Can anyone confirm this and possibly add some "need to know" info on these critters?

Yes, first pic is a hydroid and the second pic is a copepod. Neither are harmful but the hydroid may grow up to be an aiptasia. I wouldn't worry about that for the time being though.

Only you youngsters could see those things. Even with a magnifying glass :glasses2:, it's a challenge for us geriatric reefers! ;D

the pod is good for your tank and the hydroid should eventually go away.
