There is a large patch of black/grey/white on the one side of this body. It seems to be getting larger. It is slightly raised and grandular. I would think it was ICK but there is no scratching, breathing is normal, eating a lot, even hair algae

    Here is a pick

any suggestions as to what it is?

Could it be some type of skin erosion? Bruise?

This looks exactly like a 4 page article I just read last night in the most recent Coral Magazine. (their site does not even have the current mag listed so looking it up won't help) When I get home tonight I will post a small report on it to help out. From what I remember when half asleep there are a few conditions that it can be and the people who did the report actually took tests of the tissue from dead fish so i'm sure that will not help you at all.
As i'm sure you already know to prepare for the worst and expect some more info from me tonight.

No I didn't figure it out yet. You were talking about the Artical "Pathogenic Bacteria in saltwater aquariums" Right?

The majority of Bacteria infestations symptoms are red lesions and Ulcers. There are no signs of these.

The photo shows the dark patch as having a redishness to it. In reality there is no Red

    Sorry this might have confused

Don't know. I've never seen one change
