I am looking at the 48 inch Current USA 6x54W Nova Extreme Pro T5HO 3-10k/3-460nm Actinics.

any one know if you can mount this to a canopy top and if so what is the best way to do this.

I have a 75 gal. with live sand and live rock.

I wouldn't, that is already closed in enough with the case its in, putting it in a hood might push it over the top. I am betting you could get a retrofit like this one for about the same or less. Of even better talk to Tangster, he has some really nice stuff.

It might be able to be put in a canopy if the vents/fans are side mounted.

I just ordered that light set-up to put under my canopy. Except, I bought the 8x54w unit. I saw it done at the LFS near where I live the other day and it's been working out for them. They mounted it to the inside of the canopy using some wire hangers attached to some stainless steel 1/2" screws.

Yes Johnny, Jeff, just make sure it can vent the heat.
