My pistol shrimp built a burrow right behind one of my maxi mini anemones. It's now down in the hole - if I attempt to pull it out, it will mean having to take quite of bit of rock out....will it be ok in the hole? Will it move if unhappy? I know these guys typically don't move once footed, but will they? Do I just shoot food down in the hole? It's really rather pretty, I didn't get it so it could be out of sight in a hole :)I'm looking for advice.

it will make it's way out when it's ready to do so. I bought a Rose Bubble a few months back and it went completely behind the rock, to never been seen again.....that was up until a couple of weeks ago. It has now reared it's beautiful red tentacles right next to one of my acro colonies =( Now I has a decision to make. Move the acro or move the nem. I do think it will be easier and less stressful to move the acro though.

I agree. Nems will move when not happy. Mine are on the move again so that means I rarely see my clowns unless the nem is out. Lol

ok...thanks for the advice all! It was in a great spot until the bulldozer just dug the hole right behind him. I'll wait and hopefully it will make its way out. In the meantime, just shoot some food down in there?

well, I found my maxi mini..it came out of the hole and has attached on the other side of the hole it went down into. I'm kind of bummed because you have to look to see it but at least it's ok!

Update, he's now moved around to the front of the rock yay!

I wouldn't worry about feeding it. It will come out for light when it is good and ready.

My last nem decided to move under (and I mean under) a piece of large rock partially embedded into the sand. Took over 3 weeks for it to come out again. Seems happy enough now...

I would move the acro before it though. Their pedestals are really tough to move and can damage quickly from what I understand.
