Despite searching I was unable to find the exact dimensions on this fixture. When I had my 55, I had to steer clear of the Coralife fixture (which looks very similar to the one you're considering), because it's too large from front to back. The 55 gallon tank is 12 inches deep, and the fixture was 15, I think.

Were you able to find the dimensions? My solution was to buy a 90 gallon tank.

Well this was my thinking... My wife bought me this 55 for my birthday about a year ago... I mentioned getting a bigger tank and she looked at me with those puppy dog eyes like i wasn't happy with the 55. So, the 2 150's are probably about as big as I will go for this tank. In the future when I do upgrade I will probably do a retro. But I didn't want to go too high if there is such a thing. I appreciate all of the info and help.

I just found the dimensions and it is 16" wide CRAP!!! I will Have to make it work for now. Dang it, I guess I should have thought of that before I spent the money, the dimensions weren't on the Foster and Smith site or the Marineland site. I had to search for them. I am sure I can fabricate something but that is a bit inconvenient.
