My tank has been up cycling for just over a month. I added the sump 2 weeks ago. Below is an image of the sump. Microbubbles are still making it to the DT and i am not sure what else to do.

the overflow dumps into a 4" pipe on the right. The water exits the pipe at the bottom VIA holes in the pipe. The water then must raise to the surface and go Over, Under, Over then into the return section.

I have even added some filter media at the last baffle before the return.

    Any help would be great.

**NOTE- the skimmer has not been running so that is not the cause.

The only thing I can think of is maybe have the water inlet dump into a filter sock. That has helped me in the past.8)

I would also check you fittings. Anywhere you have a clamp with Flex hose. Air can be introduced at those points.

On another note. the water level is very high in your sump. If the power goes out I hope your sump doesn't over flow?

It is not the fittings. Bubbles are making it through the pipe, through the 3 baffles and back into the tank

Right now the drain pipe goes about 4" under water with an upside down T fitting on it. That whole assembly is inside a 4" pipe so after exiting the T it must travel to the bottom of the tank to exit the pipe.

The 3rd baffle is unnecessary and is causing bubbles to get into your return area. Look at the pic. You have a mini waterfall on the left side. The water splashing into the return area is making bubbles that are then getting into the return line (and into your display). The faster the flow, or the lower the water level in the return area, the more bubbles that are made.

I filled up the sump just over the third baffle so there is no "waterfall" and there are still bubbles
