My GSP used to be full and open but over the past few days it seems to barely open. It has also started growing TONS of little heads. Is it ok?

My closes up once in a while but the little heads is because it is expanding and growing out. :) If you can get a closer picture I can verify it.

Is it normal to stay pretty much closed for several days?

Mine closed for a few days because something irritated it.

did u test the water if so what r the results its hard to tell u whats wrong with out knowing ur parameters. also u might wanna watch them close u might have a nipper :uzi::uzi: also try moving the flow on it to blow ot off or do as i do when im worried about a coral test ur water and just leave the coral there. messing with it too much will cause problems .

It looks quite good, just a normal phase they go through, weird coral that way, they do like higher flow IME.

I agree. Even if water parameters are fine they will some times close for a couple of days. At least mine do every once in a while.

It'll survive the apocalypse. If you find a way to kill it please let me know.
From a bit of my experience...you're going to kick yourself for putting that on your main rock work in about 6 months.
